British Celtic Rainforest
Nature Photography
Part of the larger Atlantic Oakwoods region, the British Celtic Rainforest is a patchwork of temperate rainforest on Britain’s western coast. The Atlantic Oakwoods skim across Northwestern Europe, with temperate rainforests existing in Spain, France, Ireland, U.K., and Norway. The British Celtic Rainforest is persistent in every kingdom of the United Kingdom (with exception to Northern Ireland being the Irish Celtic Rainforest, provided the consort). Long inspiring the British Isles’ multicultural folklore, this temperate rainforest contains a multi-scaled, high biodiversity of magical cryptogams (bryophytes, lichens, pteridophytes, and fungi). This photo collection comprises scenic settings on field research trips in north-central Wales, the Lake District (England), and Argyll (Scottland).
